Newsroom Internships

In the dog-eat-dog world of journalism, you don’t want to end up a Milk Bone … Our internships are competitive and they get you places in the industry.

Know what else? Our interns aren’t stuck behind desks. They’re at the scene of breaking stories and brights, getting 1A placement. The clip/slide potential is huge.

Gazette Reporters
  • 3 Month Paid Internships
  • Regular position (40 hours/week)
  • Application deadlines:
    Winter - November 1
    Summer - January 1
    Fall - May 1
Gazette Photographers
  • 3 Month Paid Internships
  • Regular position (40 hours/week)
  • Full range of equipment provided
  • Application deadlines:
    Winter - November 1
    Summer - January 1
    Fall - May 1
News and Photo internships available to Sophomores, Juniors and Seniors.
Start and end dates are flexible but will be on a semester basis.


Marketing & Public Relations Internships

  • Regular summer positions (20-25 hours/week)
  • April/May through August
  • Application deadline is March 1

KCRG-TV Internships

  • 3 Month Paid Internship
  • 25 hours a week
  • Will help write, edit, shoot video and produce news stories for air on all of the station’s newscasts.
