Enterprise Mobile Journalist

We are seeking an enthusiastic, motivated and highly flexible “mobile journalist” (“mo-jo”) to develop and execute investigative, explanatory, narrative and multimedia stories for The Gazette and GazetteOnline.
Responsibilities include:
• Working solo, where appropriate, to deliver text, photos, video and other multimedia elements in complete packages tailored for the web and/or print.
• Collaborating with reporters and/or visual journalists to deliver parts of story packages tailored for web and print.
• Developing crowdsourcing techniques to involve the public in generation of story ideas as well as in gathering of information and images used in telling stories.
• Collaborating with the social media guide to explore social-networking angles of stories being pursued and for promotion of stories through the social media.
The mo-jo must be a self-starter who is prolific, efficient and decisive. Position requires Bachelors degree in journalism, or related field, with at least 5 years significant experience in enterprise reporting and digital journalism.
