This position will create and lead creation of daily graphics for news broadcasts and paid commercial advertising. Responsibilities include developing graphics for the station’s image and branding, attends news planning meetings and coordinates with producers to build still and motion graphics, works with and manages base graphics library and adds to library as necessary, mentors others charged with making news graphics, and works with Creative Services’ leadership to identify new graphics opportunities.
Bachelors degree in Art, Design or related field with 3-5 years related experience or 5+ years without a degree. Position requires high skill in computer 3D modeling and 3D animation packages, as well as, 2d design tools and video editing applications. Candidates must be fast creative thinker able to successfully meet numerous daily deadlines as well as the ability to think ahead. They must have the ability to plan and execute new graphic solutions and have knowledge of cinematic styles, video editing techniques, basic graphic design, current state of the art in Promotion Production and visual effects, and knowledge of the equipment and computer software required to accomplish them.
